The BlackBerry Bold 9780 was supposed to be available on Bell (and Virgin) on October 21st, then it got pushed to November 2nd… and now it’s unfortunately been delayed a few more days. No reason of why the delay but our source says it could be last minute OS fixes – the same reason the Torch 9800 was delayed. It should be available next week we’re told. We’ll find out more soon…

Update: BerryReview is stating the same info that the Bell 9780 is delayed.

lol, I just find this whole thing is really amusing. After Apple starts with that production delay due to the high demand s**t, all the cell phone manufactures just try to copy it all the way: SAMSUNG CAPTIVATE,TORCH, BB 9780 etc. And I mean 9780??? really?? a two-years old hardware….RIM, Well done!! I can’t wait to see how you gonna file bankruptcy.

If it ain’t broke don’t mess with it. The Bold is excellent hardware and sells like crazy. OS 6 makes it even better.

I like the Bold, but the price is too high for my liking especially at how little improved it is over the older ones. The Curve 3G is essentially the same but with slightly smaller memory but is still capable of OS6 and is $270 cheaper outright at Telus.
