Microsoft has now confirmed the “Windows Phone 7 Worldwide Launch Event” is kicking off in New York City on October 11th. The festivities start at 3:00pm with a look at “Windows Phone 7 devices and an early preview of some of our applications that will be available for launch”. For us Canadians we are fortunate as WP7 phones will be available at the same time as the U.S. Greg Milligan, Microsoft Canada’s Mobility Solutions Manager, recently stated that we can expect to see multiple Canadian carriers release devices from LG, Samsung, HTC and eventually Dell.
