We’ve seen videos and images in the past of the upcoming and unannounced BlackBerry 9670 clamshell. Today more evidence has popped up from a leaked internal document that gives a good overview of what to expect when this is officially becomes available. Specs include this CDMA device have it running the new BlackBerry 6 OS, QWERTY keyboard with optical trackpad, overall dimensions are 175.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm, A-GPS, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, face detection and image stabilization, external display of 240 x 320 external and an internal display shows notifications, caller ID, and clock with a resolution of 460 x 400.
This is known to be heading to both Sprint and Verizon, so most likely it’ll hit TELUS or Bell too.

Seeing this phone still shocks me with every new picture…how could they consider releasing such an ugly device?

I can’t really judge at this point, but it looks alright. Nothing too exciting.

Or not. Seems like Bell and Telus has all but given up on CDMA devices.

Maybe it’s made for Public Mobile. They are pretty much the only provider without Blackberries

I thought the 8200 was nicer, but this looks a little more sturdier
Personally I will stick with my 9700

Reminds me of an old Nokia phone:

Still, it’s a step up for the BB Pearl. Better keyboard and bigger screen.

If it is a CDMA phone, I would not expect Bell or Telus to carry it, I would have thought they are trying to get everyone using their new GSM-type network.

The idea of a querky combined with a touch screen is excellent and it will position BB in the front row. They nEed this because they lost so much market share

As long as it’s not overprices I think it’ll sell fine. I know there is a small group of people that still prefer flip phones.
I’ve always liked flip phones because of the built in screen protection but I love the features of a smart phone…If only someone would make a flip smartphone that isn’t ginormous.

LoL!@TNSF. I’m actually digging this phone, like five years ago when the sales dude at Bell talked me into getting the horrific Blackberry Pearl. I thinks it’ll have customers but, RIM has to get off of this K-car style they’re trying to milk.

Why does it look like a phone from 1990?
Looks aside, this phone’s specs is good.
