Rogers partners with Sony Style locations to distribute products

Rogers has struck up another distribution deal to sell their products. This time it’s the Sony Style retail locations and if you visit a store you could purchase wireless, cable, internet products and services.

Robin Powell of Sony Canada said “Sony Style and Rogers are perfectly aligned in terms of fulfilling our customers’ entertainment and communication needs, and we’re so pleased that our customers are now in the position to realize significant benefits from the Sony Style/Rogers partnership”.

With wireless distribution being such a key player these days, this partnership actually makes more sense than the recent pilot project with Shoppers Drug Mart. I’ve got a hunch that the Sony knows a bit more about technology than Shoppers does.

  1. Excellent. Maybe Sony Style will start carrying some accessories for my Xperia X10 now.

  3. I asked a couple of Shoppers Drug Mart Rogers employees some questions the other day. I knew more about their product than they did.

    • I bought a phone from shoppers drug mart, the guy was very helpful and really new his product, plus I got points!

    They definitely know all lot more about overpriced merchandise than Shoppers does.

  6. What is happening with Rogers?
    They are getting the worst of the worst HTC phones…I guess their Business strategy needs to be reviewed…stop focusing on cheap and listen to your clients… I can’t believe Rogers is OUT of the Android miracle.

  7. Sony has the worst products ever. Cameras with lots of dust inside after two weeks use…Yeah Rogers/Sony matches each other@:)

  9. Sony Style stores are always empty and their prices are triple for products compared to other electronic stores with the same products.
    Another money grab on top of their other prices.

  10. I remember a time when Sony Style sold their Sony Ericsson phone, unlocked… boy was it a good time. Now, they will start selling mobile phones again… locked with a Rogers contract not far away.. damn. I want a X10 mini, but I wanna stay with Fido.

  11. Sony Style needs more variety. They don’t even carry the Captivate (They carry Nokia but not Samsung? I guess it competes too much with their x10). I like Rogers in Shoppers, finally Ontario has gone the way of London Drugs, it’s about time! I wish I could pay my bill there though. :(
