Rogers Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB now available, $549 no-contract

Just like all the other carriers you can now get the Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB through Rogers for $99 on a 3-year contract or $549 no-contract… or you could wait for the new iPhone 4 to arrive.

Check it here at Rogers

  1. Why would you buy it from Rogers? I likely will be locked to them (unlike directly from the Apple Store).

BTW that mean that if you bring your own phone and sign 3 years, they should give you 450$ of rebate.

  3. Still locked even at the no contract price, I’m going to guess? Yeah, good luck with that, Rogers.

With the 4G just around the corner you’ll be able to buy a used one for about $150-$200 soon as the market will be saturated with used 3G/3GS handsets. Why pay that much when you can get a used one for a third of that price?

Even $99 on a three year term seems crazy at this point.

  4. it should be $99 on 1-year plan! In 3 years, apple will bring iPhone 7.

  5. Mark,
    It’s iPhone 4. Not ‘the 4G’ since well.. it’s not a 4G phone.

I’m sure Apple is loving the confusion though…

  6. If you want this phone unlocked, DO NOT BUY FROM ROGERS, buy directly from Apple.

Although, I gotta say, Apple’s website has not loaded for me more than 5 times since the day of preorders in the USA, like seriously, wtf Apple, you have money, fix this s***!

  7. Or wait until the iphone4 comes out and then you should be able to pick one up, used, but a couple hundred dollars cheaper and use it on your existing contract.

  8. @Shawn: Yes, I realize it’s not a “4G” phone – I used the term as in “Fourth Generation”.
