Acer Liquid E selling for $374.99 at Future Shop

Thanks to one of our tipsters for sending us their receipt of their brand spanking new Acer Liquid E. The good thing about this receipt is that if you’re looking to pick up this Android-powered device you can go to your local Future Shop and get it for the no-contract price of $374.99. This is $50 cheaper than what Rogers is selling it for.

  1. I would’ve included a picture of the Acer Liquid E in this post too.

  2. I’m sure there’s a huge markup on these devices. Wouldn’t be surprised if Future Shop and other stores started selling these and many will probably start going the unlocked route.

  3. And a good review link. But I guess it wasn’t worth it. ;)

  4. Don, I would love to see that happen. High end handsets prop up the perception that consumers need to get their device ‘subsidized.’ With decent handsets appearing in shops we can expect more competition, choice, better pricing, and eventually the carriers will be forced to stop charging ‘subsidy’ fees, which would result in 20% lower bills for many.

  5. I’d love to see Mobile Syrup do a review of this phone.

It’s 1 of 2 cell phones running Android 2.1 in all of Canada and they haven’t done their own review of it yet.

  6. Would you guys do a review on the Acer Liquid E please and thanks? I’ve been waiting for a review for weeks now. Also can you put an end to false information on the phone. Most sites are saying its exactly like the first Liquid but fail to mention its got a brighter screen and the RAM has been increased from 256mb to 512mb. Thanks

  7. I agree a review on the ACER Liquid E should be done by Mobile Syrup. It’s the only Android phone on the Rogers system running Android 2.1.

I think it’s becasue it’s not a BB, HTC, iPhone, we won’t get a review.

I’ve sent several youtube mail messages to Mobile Syrup requesting a review as well.

    This would be perfect!

  10. Dreamcast, I too am undecided between the Xperia X10, Acer Liquid E, 3gs or 4g iPhone. I’m not really an Apple fan, and would prefer an Android phone.

With a Snapdragon processor, Android 2.1, the processor being under used allows for it to speed up in case of updates to Android 2.2/3.

I am so surious what it works like on a Canadian carrier, etc….

  11. Yeah Jason I’ve been trying to figure it out for weeks now and I still don’t know. If the Xperia X10 would get multi-touch with 2.1 it would be an instant purchase for me but Sony has been flip flopping with “its not possible” to “its getting Multi touch” to again “its not getting it”…ugh. I wish Canada would get the Evo 4g I want a BEAST of a phone :( I am thinking I will end up getting the Liquid E because it will do everything I want right out of the box.

  13. Maybe “IF” Mobile Syrup does a review they will let us know if it’s unlockable.

You should all email them through this webpage and youtube like I did. If a review is requested more, maybe they will consider it.

  14. The HTC legend uses 2.1 Android also, and it’s processer is 600mhz. Apparently the Legend is very quick so I hope that translates into the Acer Liquid E being super fast since it runs at 786mhz.

  15. The Liquid E is locked to Rogers. I verified that with an AT&T SIM – no go. I have emailed a number of unlocking vendors, and they replied back that they are not able to unlock Liquid E yet.
