Rogers to release the Motorola Cliq soon?

Yesterday we posted a quick story that Rogers was going to be launching something called “Social View”. No word on what it was or when it will be available, but there was something else hidden there. Thanks to one of our readers David for pointing out that squeezed in between the Android-powered LG Eve and the White Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the Motorola Cliq. So this will be launching soon as well. Another comment below reminds us that the Cliq is the Canadian version of the DEXT that Bell is exclusively launching… More details soon.

  1. One problem, isn’t Rogers launching the Quench?
The Cliq is the Dext that Bell is launching.

  2. It would be nice if Rogers/Motorola would release it with Android 2.1 then I would just use my HUP on this phone.

  3. Motorola Cliq and Motorola Quench are cheap Android devices so Android 2.1 is not a priority.
If you want the best Android phones from Motorola, buy a Milestone ;)

  5. this image is very confusing – if bell is getting the Cliq(Dext) and ROgers the Quench why is the Cliq in a Rogers banner – was this an error by whoever made the banner…is Motorola launching all their Motoblue handsets on all carriers ….i`d laugh if this was an error by the graphic designer who made the banner!

  6. You guys messed up the name. The Motorola Quench that is heading to Rogers is called Cliq XT in the States. Cliq is American name for the DEXT, which is going to Bell.

  7. I thought the Dext was exclusively for Bell… Didn’t it say that on the bellmotodext website?

  8. The Quench is the same look as the Dext just without the keyboard. Search Cliq XT and you can tell.

  9. the quench doesn`t look like the Cliq, not from the video mobile syrup posted themselves

The Quench , Cliq XT has a different D-pad, as you can see in the video.

The picture in the Rogers banner is clearly a DEXT (Cliq), which we are told was coming to Bell. There is some kind of mix up going on here for sure

  11. and here is the `exclusively` to Bell Dext page :

    http://www.bellmotodext.ca

I am sure someone at Rogers made a boo boo with their banner – it doesn`t take much to be told to put an image of a Motorola Quench in your graphic, not have an official image on hand, go to google to find one and pick the wrong phone !
