It was a few months ago that Waterloo-based Allerta announced people could pre-order their “inPulse”, this is the BlackBerry accessory that they are dubbing the “smartwatch”. The cost of the watch is $149.00 USD and connects wirelessly to your phone by Bluetooth and alerts you of incoming emails, SMS and calls. This was supposed to be ready for shipping in February, but a new post has been added to their company blog that says:
“Long time no blog. We have some amazing news that we’re going to be sharing very shortly. Images, video and something that all you pre-order customers will be extremely happy about. inPulse is almost here.”
Here are the pics that they updated us with… sounds like it’s going to be shipping soon:

Exciting to see this becoming real. Not so exciting are the looks; either make the whole device smaller or at least increase the screen size.
Anyone know if this can sound an alarm should my BlackBerry not be in the Bluetooth range (which I think is about 10m anyway)?

Why would Allerta use Nokia phone picture on their “contact us” site ?
Why watch pictures are different on every site? Something is very wrong here…
