“Enhanced Text Messaging” I thought has been around for a little while from Rogers, but apparently it’s “Coming Soon”. With this service at Rogers you can now do more with your text messages such as creating a distribution list, signature, auto-reply, block spam texts and Rogers states that “these enhancements are available for every rogers customer with a text messaging–capable phone, regardless of your plan”. With the enhanced text service you are charged by how many text messages you send out. So let’s say you put 10 people in your distribution list and send one message to all of them, you’re charged for 10 text messages.
To get this all you have to do is go into your Account and click “Enhanced Text Messaging”.

Isn’t this just a marketing department trying to prove they are relevant?

Another marketing tactic to draw attention to itself with useless garbage. And of course to grab a few more dollars out of our pockets every month and bring up the average monthly bill amount overall.

Marketing 101…Is the space between the A and G in Text Massaging intentional? It looks to me that someone hit the space bar in error. In other news, I would personally like to thank Rogers for providing such a useful tool for my text savvy friends, who just love sending me chain texts…Somewhere, at this very moment, spammers are rejoicing!

In rogers headquarters, somebody probably thought to themselves “Why only charge 15¢ for each incoming message when we can add on $5 for a bunch of stuff smartphones can already do?”

Chris: The space is because this pdf is from the print version of the magazine. The space is where the gutter falls. Without it, the A and G would appear too close together.
