Public Mobile asks if you’ve ever had to think twice about using your cell

Public Mobile will be launching their service within the next few months and they hit the streets of Montreal to ask current wireless customers if they’ve you ever had to think twice before sending a text message, dialing or answering a call? When Public Mobile launches they will offer an unlimited talk and text plan for $40 per month.

  1. Nope. Only when doing long distance, which you don’t cover.

    Did I mention I don’t like Public Mobile and their ‘attitude’ so far?

  2. Can’t say I ever have…unless, as Pederson said, it’s long distance, or I’m in another country….which Public Mobile doesn’t cover. Bad choice of add campaign if you ask me.

  3. Nope. I use Google voice with Gizmo5 and my unlimited data plan. $50 for all the minutes and long distance and DATA I need.

  4. I often do think before I make a call, how much is it going to cost etc. But that’s because I’ve chosen to be pay as you go, I’d have to use up 200 minutes before I reach $40/month, and by that point I’d rather get a better phone with data etc.

  5. I think twice before making a call and thrice before I give my number to anyone. It shouldn’t be that way but it is. When $40 for talk and text become available where I live, I’ll abandon my landline.

  6. I think twice when I’m in a foreign country with excruciating roaming rates. (including USA)

    Does not concern Public Mobile though because their technology will make this irrelevant: it won’t work abroad anyhow.
