I can't believe people will pay $40+ more a month to go with one of the big three just because they have a certain phone. I mean if Wind mobile had an iPhone their market share would greatly increase. And the fact that a company like Wind can charge $50a month for unlimited service yet the big three charge $80 for capped service is a joke.

no surprise here. i don't know why people are complaining about rogers. they are far more flexible and provide better customer service than belus. rogers are loyal to their customers and provide better plans and rates if belus is offering something competitive. and let's get something straight TELUS AND BELL DO NOT RUN a 4G network. their false advertising is trying to appeal to more customers. they are running on HSPA+ which rogers launched a few years ago and now that they upgraded to hspa+ dual cell, it doesn't make them a 4G provider. 4G REQUIRES speeds of 100mbps to be labelled as 4G and their dual cell network has speeds up to 42mbps. FALSE advertising belus, shameful.

and as for the 70% of Canadians who own cell phones... compare that with the 110%-140% subscription rates of similarly developed countries (and even some lesser developed ones.) Clearly there is something going on stifling the Canadian market, I'm no expert to blame Robelus and the CRTC, but those two entities, at this point, do have the largest impact on our mobile usage...

I have some trouble believing this too... so all of our 90 year olds and children will have cell phones?

Also, I switched from Rogers to Bell last Nov... identical phone plan (well actually I get a few more options on the Bell plan..) My bill with Rogers was $45/month and only $28/month with Bell. AND I no longer randomly get charged "long distance" while in Ottawa (since my phone # is based in Ottawa) like I did with Rogers. Oh did I mention I haven't dropped a call yet when I did almost daily with Rogers?

Belus will not surpass by next year. All big 3 carriers do the same thing and roughly have all the same concepts. Bell and Telus have worse upgrade policies which entices people to upgrade les.

Rogers starts 4G in less than a week in Vancouver, so no, they won't get it before bell which means you're wrong.

Also, their 3G is not better or worse, it's the same technology. It's only being called "better" because they have only 8% of their consumer base on it. It's like driving on a highway no one knows is open.

Every post on these forums you tits just complain and complain like children. Every thread says "CELLS AREN"T FAAAAIR". We all live in Canada, we all have cell phones, we've all been with every carrier. Stick to the dicussions. You people make these forums so hard to read.

@ Pederson
It states : (our current number at 23.1 million people this represents about 70% of Canadians). by 2014 will 30 million.
Still 23.1 million out of 35 million is pretty good..
But How many of us have more then One active mobile device ? ?

I would beleave bell & telus could & should surpass rogers aswell . . But tha thing is most customers Are Locked into Contracts, Most Will Not cancel as costs to much, and they Get sucked in longer terms with early renewals as it is there only option for a discounted phone, they have no option to leave with out large penalty fees, And most customer become unhappy with, service, pricenetwork, coverage etc Once they join a provider and are Locked in to there term, allso no matter how unhappy they may be, most people are still more likely to refer friends and family to join tha provider they are with...
most likely rogers will grow and remain on top.
