MTS is continuing to build out their CDMA network. A couple weeks ago they announced 8 new Manitoba communities will get better coverage and now improved CDMA wireless data coverage is available to residents in Alberta and British Columbia (Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton).

Kelvin Shepherd, President, MTS stated “We are pleased to be able to provide improved wireless speeds and wider coverage to our Manitoba customers when traveling in Alberta and B.C.”

MTS have also entered into an agreement with Rogers that will see their HSPA network launched by the end of 2010.

actually, the coverage in BC and Alberta are provided by Telus.

This is quite similar that Telus has given the nod from Sasktel to roam on Sasktel’s network.
