Fourth-Gen iPhone rumoured to be 1/4-inch taller
iPhone repair site iResQ has posted a few photos of what is apparently the front panel for the upcoming 4th generation iPhone. These are obviously not confirmed and just like all iPhone launches there are always lots of rumours to go around…. we won’t see what is actually the real parts until closer to an official launch.
Taking a quick look at the pic, some of the claimed features on the front panel show the next-gen iPhone to be approximately 1/4-inch taller than the current iPhone 3GS. In addition, there is a “reflective surface” above the earpiece that is rumoured to be a proximity sensor or maybe even for video calling.
What do you think… you liking the possibility of a larger iPhone?

I wanted to see some changes in the model…
And there are too many empty useless spaces in the front which could’ve used to increase the size of the screen

but it looks like dell mini 5 would be a bomb!

I have had cellphones since 1992,My iPhone3gs is the BEST hands down.My only problem is Rogers service out side the city sucks the big one.I am waiting for the new iPhone then I will switch to Telus.I have found a blog called(Canadian cellular tower maps)Telus/Bell have 3 towers versus 1 tower for Rogers in multipul areas.

iPhone “are” terrible? They have only been the best selling smart phone in earth’s history. CLEARLY the majority of the population disagrees with you. My guess is that you’ve never had an iPhone, because if you had, you’d see they were much better than any blackberry or sony that’s out there.

I have an iphone 3gs, i have had every blackberry and starting to build my android collection…hands down for the bang for the buck, the newer Android devices reign supreme.
any true cell phone aficionado will tell you The android platform in dominant cell phone medium of the future..hardware is secondary people.

Apple markets to the lowest common denominator of the middle class..hence the amazing sales…i wouldn’t call these people, experts in what a cell phone is supposed to do or quality specialist…they know how to turn it on, download apps and think they modded a phone…
Not my benchmark for success.

iv use iphons.. and like them..Would Never pay for one when most phones have better spec’s..
Just want to say tha increase of size is pointless to me when tha screen is tha SAME size!! there’s allready a lot of wasted space on tha front, A 4 inch screen would have been better.. but why pay some one for a new design apple? you only strong arm Billions for your glorified feature phone That you completely control and lock down.. why give customers choice?
these are some reasons I boycott apple & iphone..

Bongsniffer I totally agree. I’m sick of people saying the iphone is the best because of the amount of sales. If you’ll recall George Bush was elected president for two terms, what does that say about the correlation between popularity and quality?
