If you live in the communities of Fort St. John, Charlie Lake, and Cecil Lake or have the area codes: 261, 262, 263, 264, 785, 787, and 794 then you can expect a complete TELUS outage/interruption for your landline and cellphone on February 8-9th.
TELUS has scheduled around 11:00 pm on Monday the 8th to 6:00 am on Tuesday the 9th for network upgrades that should last six hours. During this time there will be NO service (including 911 calls).
Director of Facilities and Protective Services Jim Rogers said they are working with TELUS to understand what the backup plans are for emergency needs.
