Dave Wireless? Fresh Wireless… how about “Mobilicity”?

With new entrant Dave Wireless announcing today that they’ll officially be announcing their new brand name on Tuesday, February 2nd… we heard yesterday that a possible name if Fresh Wireless, but a new name has now surfaced that D.A.V.E. (Data Audio & Visual Enterprises Inc) has registered.

How do you like “Mobilicity”? If you check out CIPO (Canadian Intellectual Property Office) you’ll find a bunch of recent trademarks that Dave has registered… as recent as the 26th of January.

What do you think of this name… or do you just want them to launch and offer more competition?

  4. I think it’s ok but not great for a carrier. I think this what they might call their stores or online community or perhaps Their web portal or their own app store on their phones

  7. Mobilicious used to be a Yak trademark but was inactivated on Jan 11 for some reaon (lack of use, deal with DAVE?). DAVE registered it on Jan 13 and is now the current Canadian trademark owner.

    Trademark laws doesn’t care about domain name registrations. Only DAVE has rights to that word now.

  8. I meant Jan 14th. All this info is on the CIPO website by searching for the TM name “MOBILICIOUS”

  9. Somebody asked about the iPhone…they will definitely NOT be getting it. DAVE/Mobilicity has the same spectrum as WIND (1700) and the iPhone doesn’t operate on that frequency. Lets hope Apple makes a 1700 compliant iPhone this year.

    • Im using iphone 3gs jailbroken i tried the mobilicity sim in its work!!!!
      For me ,caller idd,text messages,msm,the only problem is the cellular data for internet i cannot connect to internet …im find the solution to work in cellular data..
