GSM is 94% of the whole darn world where as CDMA is not even close to that. with an unlocked GSM phone you can go to another country get a prepaid sim card and use it there however you like! cant do that very easily with gsm now can you. CDMA is very much a dying trend and will be obsolite within ten years for sure. even africa uses GSM!!! MT. Everest has 3G for crying out loud. GSM is the blue ray movie technology of wireless devices and and CDMA is the HDDVD and im pretty sure blue ray won GSM is not a fraction at all!!! The service will run for another ten years or so. GSM's coverage is but a fraction and just this week there was a report to the effect that AT&T would need a $5 billion investment to catch up with Verizon. Rogers is totally blown out of the water by Belus here in Canada for both CDMA and HSPA coverage. CDMA works and still has, by far, the best coverage in Canada and the US.
