Wind hiring to go live in Ottawa & Edmonton “next month”

Wind Mobile already has launched their new wireless brand in Toronto and Calgary and “next month” they’ll go live in Edmonton and Ottawa. They sent out a release for a massive hiring blitz for both cities for several positions, both full and part time: Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers and Sales Associates.

This is great news as their reach is getting bigger and bigger on a daily basis.

Check it out here at Wind

(If you’re interested they’ll have an “open house” for the Ottawa location at the Westgate Shopping Centre on Thursday, January 21st, from 1:00pm – 9:00pm.)

  1. The interesting question for Ottawa is how are they gonna handle the fact that they don’t have a license in Quebec. Will crossing the river to Gatineau cause to be in the EXPENSIVE zone?

With a large part of the population living on one side and working on the other, it looks like a bad situation.

  2. This is great. This is what WIND needs for success right now. Coverage. Canada is a big place and this has always been a task for new operators/ISPs, but national/major city coverage is essential.

  5. Just a question for all you wind lovers, have you switched to wind, or has you current cell phone bill droped in cost? Let me guess maybe? And NO!!!
Here’s the thing until cellphone providers stop basing everything on arpu we are all screwed. Here’s the deal we will pay .09-.25 cents per minute for local calls. .10+ for canadian LD. And data well we can all bend over. This will not change unless YOU MOVE TO EUROPE were 2 towers cover 3 million people.

Recently I read a survey it was about the top 3 things people could not live without. (materal things) guess what made top three, not tv, not music, not hockey, not cars, but cells phones. Now when people are more willing to have a phone rather then a car do you really think our monthly fees will drop? I don’t think so!!!!!!

  7. @CRIMINALOGIC: I want to see Wind Mobile succeed, and based on your terrible grasp of the English language, I formally request that you keep working for Rogers. Take them down from the inside! :)
