MEC & Canadian Avalanche Centre release iPhone app

It’s all about safety, especially when you’re in the Canadian back country. Mountain Equipment Co-op and the Canadian Avalanche Centre have released a free iPhone app that allows users to stay on top of the weather.

Some of the key features are the ability to receive updated avalanche warnings and incidents. Here is a complete list of the supported regions:
- South Coast, BC
- North Shore, BC
- North Columbia, BC
- South Columbia, BC
- South Rockies, BC, AB
- Northwest, BC
