I could hardly believe this as it means that this phone won’t work in Europe and most other areas outside of N.America. I have, in fact asked for confirmation, and the question has been escalate to the second level of Motorola support. I am still awaiting a reply.

Spec wise they are identical but the operate on two different networks which means two different frequency boards. Milestone will be HSPA not CDMA so it'll be faster than the "droid". Also, the Nexusone runs on all frequencies of HSPA and AWS so all it takes is a little unlocking and your good to go on any network of your choice :).
