Videotron has a target of the Summer of 2010 to launch their new wireless network, this has some current carriers a bit scared as they dominate and have some valuable spectrum in the Quebec region.
On another note, Videotron has released some numbers for 2009 and states that “as of December 31, 2009, there were 82,800 activated handsets on Videotron’s wireless service, compared with 63,400 at the same date in 2008”. These numbers represent a growth of 23.4% in the last year. A very good sign of things to come in 2010.
