Virgin drops price of “Broadband2Go” to $99.99
Virgin launched their “Broadband2Go” Internet Stick (aka Novatel Wireless Ovation MC760 USB Modem) at the beginning of December for the standard Prepaid price of $149.99.
However special thanks should go out to those Virgin Angels as they’ve now dropped the price by 50 bucks to only $99.99. Good holiday promo and we hope it lasts. The data will cost you $45/month for 1GB and if you activate online they’re giving you a $45 credit. More here at Virgin

The data cost is way too expensive. $45 for 1gb??

Agreed… and they need other options besides just one data point for $45 bucks.

It is expensive but remember where in Canada not in the states…in the states its way cheaper…..:(

wind is 150$ for stick, and 55$ for UNLIMITED data per month (throttled after 5gb, but still).

Yeah, definitely lookin’ at Wind for that stick. Anyone know if the Virgin one’s on the Bell CDMA or HSPA network?

It is a CDMA stick.
They really need to introduce some other options rather than just a full gig for $45. Just look at the broadband stick Virgin launched in the US, offering 100mb for 10 days for $10, or 250mb for $25 for a month. If they offered those options, I’d go out and buy it right now. Otherwise, it’s a very expensive option.
