telus-pair The last minute promos are coming out large now, it could also do something to compete with new carrier WIND Mobile.

TELUS will now give you a $100 back when you purchase any new 3G+ device and also one of their mobile internet keys. Sounds like a good deal and you can score yourself an HTC Hero for only $49.99 Some provisions so make sure you read the fine print. The offer is only good until until December 31, 2009 and not valid for online orders, only available when you visit a store.

This is normal December behaviour. It cannot be attributed to Wind because Wind only operates in a small portion of a single city. Wind does not necessitate such a large national promotion.
