YOU HAVE THAT OPTION WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER but people are cheap and never want to pay the full price for phones. I also read that it was more expensive on Bell for a MTM but that is a lie to, i know for a fact that Telus or Bell charge no more for a MTM than a 3 Year Deal, this is a message for everyone saying this on this site..... NO ONE FORCED YOU TO SIGN THESE 3 YEAR DEALS no one was ging to cut your service off if you didnt sign and ya sure if you want to sign up and get a deal on a new phone or some free features do it then but take a second and think about what your getting for the price, and yes there are some BAD deals out there i do agree with that and i also agree that there needs to be more competition in Canadan. But ..... people need to just slow down and wait until all the facts come out, and i know what is going to happen Wed morning at your local Wind store , there is going to be a big line of people and half them are going to walk away and go "i have to pay what for a phone on MTM?!!!!" And hey you never know, has anyone ever thought that Wind is not telling you the whole truth, there adds and interviews are all to one point better plans and cheaper prices for Canadians. Currently I am with Telus and am happy with their customer survive ( talking to someone within 5 mind of calling, problems resolved right away) however I'm kinda ticked that even if I go buy an HSPA phone ( from them or elsewhere) I would need to start a new contract, alongside losing my unlimited data plan. However it's moreso the unlimited data+ tethering that grabs my interest. Currently I am with Bell and every single month I am dissapointed with higher than expected bills, service that is inconsistant, bad customer service. Even last month they randomly changed my plan to a more expensive plan without even informing me for no reason whatsoever, I don't download or play games or anything so it wasn't an issue with bandwidth or anything. That being said, it is worth it to me to cancel my blackberry plan, and home Internet, and just use a convenient unlimited tehering plan so I can use my Macbook anywhere with high speed Internet. I believe unlimited data is definitely a step in the right direction. I also think they are able to provide unlimited calling nationwide because they have a VOIP system on their end handling their calls. Any thoughts on these points? I have high hopes that wind will stir things up though. Customer service is the one thing that is REALLY lacking in the canadian wireless industry. Bell and Telus when youy have a complaint your calling india but when they want something canada calls you. Virgin's reps are all incredibly fake and get nothing done. Also you cannot get transfered to billing you have to open a case which a third of the time they never get back to you about and your still not calling to canada you are calling to the states. Rogers customer service is at least canadian but they transfer you to a million different departments before you finally get somewhere. I only am happy being with rogers due to the lack of having to casll into customer service. Compared to when with bell where every month they take it upon themself to add things onto your account. Whats that you have 2 min of overages? well here we will just put on this 100 min pack for 7$ without your permission.
