I have logged consistently at LEAST 1 disconnect a day for as long as I have been on Rogers. They are the most unreliable ISP I have ever been with. Never have I gone more than 24 hours without it bottoming out. They are liars, and should be labeled the most unreliable network in Canada, my 56k modem provider was more stable during thunderstorms. NOTHING has matched KOODO (Telus) in terms of coverage and customer experience.

More than ever, looks like Rogers is just the AT&T of the north. Crappy 3G coverage, and wacky conditions. Whenever I would travel to the states (had a Sprint roaming Bell at the time), I always heard and saw how great Verizon coverage was. Now I’m on KOODO/Telus which roams on the best.

Really though, I now understand Bellus’s other big push for launching HSPA now: Marketing. They’ve powered up a completely unneeded network, just in time for… Christmas. And the Olympics, which is the other big reason. Otherwise they should have just waited for LTE.

Also their customer service was terrible they basically they told me i am sol. I left Rogers because I got yelled at by a CSR (Customer Service Rep.) and ever since being on Telus I've had incredibly short wait times and incredibly friendly representatives talk to me. The longest time I've ever had to wait was all of about 15 minutes, and that was the day that Telus launched their "Clear Choice" plans... and, well, a ton of people were changing their plans over, so I totally understood. From my personal experience, both Bell and Telus have much better customer service experiences than Rogers. Depending on when your friend was making that call to customer service, it could have just been an incredibly busy period of the day. I've witnessed one friend of mine wait for about 15 minutes as well, but she was calling right in the middle of the afternoon - the absolute busiest time of the day to make a call to a call center network that serves not just their Ontario customers, but all their customers country-wide. Much like you, I will never switch, and for similar reason (I have more reason than just the customer service, as the network footprint for Telus is significantly larger and more suited to where I tend to go), but it's the other way around for me. I will never ~EVER~ go back to Rogers Wireless unless they were the absolute last choice. Really?
