The fact that this phone is only $449.99USD in Washington state plus 8% sales tax and with conversion rate it would still be cheaper then buying this phone in Canada out right. And the topper is that Research in Motion is a Canadian company, so that means that the telcos here in Canada don't want us to buy devices out right instead to chain to a contract for a long long time. And oh yeah if you buy it straight out AT&T will unlock it for you. You know what’s gross? I find the Pre keys extremely small and recessed cavity they sit in is a little annoying. Just personal taste, but I liked the 9700 more.
