The one thing that comes to mind when first looking at the Nokia 2730 is that it’s design looks to be taken from the early 1990’s and updated for today. Which is always a good thing when dealing with classic Nokia devices.
This is an entry-level phone that has a stylish/modern look to it. Nothing complicated and honestly not to much can be written about it too! The overall dimensions of the 2730 are 109.6 x 46.9 x 14.4 and weighs only 87.7 grams. This has a 2-inch QVGA display (resolution of 240×320), 2-megapixel camera with 4x zoom and video capabilities, Bluetooth and Stereo FM radio… for how small the device is I was happy to see a standard 3.5 mm headset jack. Very nice addition.
Probably the best part of the Nokia 2730, apart from its simple design, is how incredibly easy it is to start using. You can either use the main menu, directional pad or the associated soft keys. The speakers have good sound to them and the only downside I found is when using the keypad for texting, it took me a while to get familiar again with the keypad and pressing each key a number of times before getting the right one. However, for those who are looking to get this as an entry level, possibly first device, it’s a solid choice.

mill-amp hours (mAh), not milli-amps (mA). Milli-amps is a measure of current in a circuit. Milli-amp hours is the amount of current provided multiplied by the amount of hours.
for example: if the phone draws 10 mA of power and has a rating of 1200 mAh, it can last for 120 hrs.

I got this yesterday and must say that for a basic, no-frills phone, I’m impressed. It’s light, has a high-quality display (test is very, very crisp) and has a nice set of features not normally seen an an entry-level “classic” phone. Things like a microSD card slot (mine came with a 1GB card), headset jack, microUSB connector so you can sync with your computer and perform updates, as well as backup your settings. And a 2MP camera to boot, not to mention FM radio and Bluetooth.
It cost me $120 without a contract. Very reasonable.
Highly recommended for those just looking for a basic phone.
And it is free on a 3-year contract currently. That seems to change every week though (other weeks, you’ll pay $30). Honestly though, just cough up the $120 and go without a contract.
