Wind wont launch Vancouver till well after end of 1st Q 2010. I hear they are not paying some landlords rent in Vancouver and building the network has stalled.

@Ian, regarding Wind’s coverage, they’ll be a national carrier, original plan was to start in Toronto and Calgary around now and start Vancouver and other major mertopolitan cities early 2010. so coverage should be good.

and yeah… how did your friend get treated badly by a company that hasn’t offered any services yet?

Well, from what I’ve heard from sources is that even IF they get to eventually launch, they will only have very very limited coverage to begin with, so its not going to be for everyone, so in my opinion we shouldn’t all get hopped up with excitement about Wind. Further, a friend of mine was treated like crap over at Wind, so I gotta say that I will be boycotting them and waiting for public mobile and dave wireless, personally.

Rogers, Telus and Bell have probably been preparing follow-up submissions since the CRTC decision was announced. They won’t have any trouble submitting by Nov 18.

I doubt they’ll launch before the new year. But hopefully in January. The big three just wanted to buy some time and avoid the big surge in wind’s sales before the holidays.
Thanks God my contract is ending with Fido in a month. They ripped me off for so long. I’ve been paying $70 in average for pretty much nothing. I already emailed my MP, PM, and the minister to carefully consider this and also investigate the CRTC’s role in supporting antiCanadian Rogers/Bell/Telus.

No way are they going to launch before Christmas but I do believe they’ll launch very early in the new year. I’m just itching to cancel my family plan with Bell.

I hope that the issue is resolved to the best for the CUSTOMMERS and not for the corporations.

I’m sure the Big3 benefited enough from the overpriced services that they have been selling for years, it’s time for a change.

I’m not even sure why nobody took the matter more seriously before they even brought a brand from the outside to have us realize how they’re ripping us off.

Bad management = bad service = bad network + high cost = crap

No. All he will get back is more of the same drivel and that will take weeks to go through.

I have no hope of a pre-Christmas WIND launch. I’d say it’s Spring before they are allowed to launch and DAVE might even beat them to the launch.
