IMO, no media player beats an iPod/iPhone, no email/texting phone beats a Blackberry, most phone cameras stink, and no phone GPS beats a handheld TomTom or Garmin. The only thing I've noticed is that very few people wear watches any more. And to be fair there are some decent phone cameras that can replace your average compact. They aren't exceptional, but maybe "good enough" is just good enough to the average joe. I do carry multiple devices.
