They see no need to compete with each other and they know enough people will bite. Wind-Global Wireless looks like it'll be sometime if they get CRTC approval or the decision gets overturned. But it is hard to argue with legislation, they can change the legislation which again means time. I was hoping for Bell/Telus to offer an unlimited Data or 6GB Promo like Rogers did when they launched the iPhone. However one should note that you can change your plan, you are only locking in the fact that your plan cannot get worse as in more expensive and include less for your contract term. When there is a better plan, which there inevitably will be you can then switch to it and benefit. TNSF has a point.

It doesn't make sense to spend all that money on a new network and phones to turn around and discount it. The extra value for consumers is that you now have a better network, great phone choices and rateplans that are easy to understand and use. That being said, I do expect to see minutes and data buckets increase over the next couple months. I feel like its almost a negotiation. They put out the plans, take the pulse and if consumers aren't biting then they sweeten the offer. I think these new plans are their first offer. Never accept the first offer.
