While I agree that we need more competition, I don't think we should do it at the cost of our own rules and regulations. The law states that the company must follow certain rules surrounding canadian ownership - in part to keep canadian money in Canadian hands. While I understand the decision has been made to allow GlobalLive to operate.. I completely disagree that this ruling should have been overturned, unless they did some serious revamping of their structure (which they did not). Be prepared for american big-players to start moving in now and bullying out the little guys. They'll use the government's overturning of this ruling as precedence. This is a decision we'll regret later. We need the competition, but not so badly we should leave the rules in the garbage and open the door to what will surely be an american surge into canada.
