If you're going to pay full price by an unlocked handset from somebody like pure mobile. They're not interested in keeping accounts only poaching new ones from Rogers. I've said this in other posts but I make out better by cancelling my current contract, paying the penalty and getting the new account rate for an HTC hero than I do taking the upgrade credit and signing up for another 3 years. This is above and beyond them retracting the dropped calls clause in light of the massive network outages caused by the network upgrades. My advice (as well as my plan) is to buy an unlocked Hero. That way I'm not tethered to a network and can go with whoever offers the best rates. I mean think about it, who wants to be on a three year contract when we know Dave wireless will be coming to market with an HSPA+ network?
