I had wanted to pick up an HTC Hero, it's cheaper for me to pay out the last 10 months @ $20 and sign up on a new contract and get the phone at $99.00 (Total $300) versus taking a new 3 year contact for a $150.00 hardware credit (total 350.00). Let's not forget about adding insult to injury as anyone who has the unlimited email, web and chat for $15 a month won't be allowed to carry that over to the new HSPA network. Sure I get it, but why am I going to stay with Telus again? Frankly the best choice is to get an unlocked handset and jump to whatever network has the best rates. It actually wasn’t directed at the iPhone.
