No new players attempted to buy spectrum in QC. What Wind paid for their spectrum accross Canada is what Videotron paid solely for QC.

Dobbin said “I have consistently said we will be launching our network in early 2010″… perhaps we’ll see a January 2010 launch in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa.

The only way DAVE could "launch in Jan 2010" is on Rogers network... WIND will take more than 1 yr to build and launch Calgary and Vancouver. Its almost November 1 and DAVE might find 10 guys to install base stations between now and Christmas. Hey Mr. D - Early 2010? - I thought the good pot was in BC.

Videotron should not have been allowed to take all that spectrum, they are very expensive in virtually every sphere they operate it and their current cell phone plans are ridiculously overpriced, with SAF fees etc.

We just have to hope that competition elsewhere will bring prices down for us too.

However I do believe Public Mobile will be launching in Montreal.

Which new entrants got spectrum in Montreal, QC? Besides Videotron/Quebecor? And are they going to do anything with it besides what they currently offer (reselling Rogers to their existing cable customers).
