For the past week I’ve been using the new Rogers HSPA+ Rocket Stick (ZTE MF668 USB Modem). The one nice feature that I do like is the slide-out USB vs. the removable cap from teh previous 7.2 Mbps Rocket Stick.
However, although it looks pretty and has a metallic finish to it, we hear that Rogers is still rolling out the HSPA+ network across the country (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal) and this is supposed to reach speeds of 21 Mbps… you’ll see in the video that we are having trouble reaching 6 Mbps. The one positive about this mobile internet stick is that it was always available and never quit or shut down on me.
Check out the video and let me know your thoughts:
You can get this for $74.99 on a 3-year contract or $199.99 with no contract. More here at Rogers

comparing apples to oranges doesnt work…. Rogers is a seemless national network and the other two have major gaps, nevermind the no network fallback on device like the iPhone. (Ie, no HSPA is available, or not so good, the fallback is EDGE, GPRS, GSM on Rogers) What is it on the other networks? Just curious…. iPhone is a GSM based device with HSPA available, but has no CDMA at all….. One has to say Hmmmmm.
