I receive the basic core network, even thouhg I sometimes have full bar strength. Wher can I get a residential booster package(antenna)to boost me to high speed internet ? I've already tyied the Wilson cellular antenna that are used in trucks i. e. Mini Magnet antenna, but I can't get a strong enough signal for high speed. I have a u760 usb modem 3g wireless Novatel turbo stick. I receive the basic core network, even thouhg I sometimes have full bar strength. So Bell and Telus figured they could not let Rogers get all the profits and wanted to offer visitors a "choice" :-) They now run 2 networks — CDMA and GSM and that was due specifically for the Olympics to boost up profits through roaming agreements and charges since many of the Olympics guests and visitors will be bringing GSM devices with them and hopefully using them. So Bell and Telus figured they could not let Rogers get all the profits and wanted to offer visitors a “choice” :-)

The devices here most certainly are not CDMA devices. Nor are any of them hybrid devices that deploy both CDMA and HSPA at the same time (which is pretty much impossible). In fact, the only only device that I know of that supports HSPA+ (21Mbps) is the USB stick. I beleive the iPhone 3G only actually supports 3.6Mbps down, rather than the 7.2 Mbps down of the 3GS, and there are still very few devices that support that speed. Just becuase a phone runs on an HSPA network, doesn't mean it instantly supports the fastest speed. Don't hate Bell and co just to hate them. Not all devices support those speeds.
