uhh not with those device prices for 3 year contracts. Do they not want to entice anyone to jump on these? This is kind of disappointing. Id pay that if it was limited to a 2 year contract at most.

Hardly.
Check out the reviews on the “Samsung Omnia 2″ it has been doing quite well elsewhere. 5 MP camera with dual flash, DVD video quality recording 720×480@30fps, 16 Gig Ram upgradeable to an additional 32 Gig, 480 x 800 pixels – 3.7 inch AMOLED screen, Video playback DivX / XviD / MP4/ H.263/ H.264/ WMV player.
Seems quite impressive spec wise compared to the iphone. That is until/unless Bell screws around with phone and changes stuff like Telus did with the HTC Touch Pro 2.

to all those who think the 3yr term price is ridiculous; they will prolly have ISPRs for data plans which reduces the price of the phone to competitor levels

This was just announced today. These prices are only reflecting the 3 year agreement discount. (200 off for signing up for 3 years.) The Data LTO discounts will be announced closer to launch.

What does “ISPR” mean?

I was hoping 3 year contracts were going to go the way of the dodo. I guess they’re hoping to dupe, erm, I mean sign as many people as possible to lock in before Wind launches.

I happy to see Nokias back in the Bell line-up but did they really have to choose the two most basic models? Look at the Nokia web site for Europe (for example) and see what cool phones they have there. The Nokia Canada web site has pretty impressive phones but not the best Nokia has to offer.
And why no Sony Ericcson phones?!

I was really hoping Bell was going to lead the pack and start with max 2 year contracts but sadly looks like they aren’t. Feels like they are never going to change.

not happy at all.. I wouldn’t sign another contract with bell ((or anyone else)) again, they would really need to give me some pretty sick offer to rope me in.. and No way I would lock in for More then 2years.. I bought 6 phones from bell with in 7 months 4 I paid Full price, 3 HTCs and a samsung instinct – Was far from cheap paying Full price but is much More worth while! pricing seems extremely whack, but of course we will see data term discounting aswell – Witch is shameful really ! No way I would ever use ã cell without data but to lock in to a term for it, No way, I may stay withelliot and even jump on there HSPA network, but im not a fan of samsung and really Best & only phone I would consider from this list is tha Omnia2 ….. im honestly not to excited anymore..
