MTS gets green light to build out HSPA network with Rogers

mtslogoAt the end of July MTS announced they signed an agreement with Rogers to bring a 3.5G HSPA wireless network service into Manitoba. This was big news as they currently operate on a CDMA network.

A couple months later and they have been given regulatory approval to proceed. MTS and Rogers will share the cost to launch the HSPA wireless network and has a targeted completion date of the end of 2010. It’s estimated this his will cover 97% of Manitoba and give their customers better access to devices and rates.
