I had a lot of fun with my Pre for the first 6 days, but the battery leaves something to be desired. However on the morning of the 7th day (sounds biblical, don’t it?) my beloved Pre turned into a brick. Off I go to my Bell store to replace it. Nope, they can’t do that! WTF! Apparently, Palm has a 30 minute DOA policy, which basically says more than 30 minutes airtime usage the replacement needs to be approved by Palm! Of course there is NO Flippin’ ETA on when THAT will be done! With my experience on returning stuff to Palm, that can take more than a year. Perhaps the people who make this policy own major stock in Apple and/or RIM. Are they trying to drive users away once the users' Palm device breaks?
