Worse still, Fido has charged me for the device on my bill and doesn't even have a date for when they will have the 3Gs available. Fido and Rogers will claim that the fault lies with Apple and that Apple has not supplied them with sufficient stock. The problem is that there isn't enough competition in this space. We'll wait for Telus and Bell and maybe the new entrants to be able to support the iPhone on their networks(this is just around the corner) and then we'll see how Fido and Rogers get away with these bad business practices.... I have been on contract for two months and have to keep getting a credit for data plan since I still don't have a iphone. They are locking people into 3 year terms without providing the product yet. Its the only way to get one. I think its a horrible business practice. I have grown sick of waiting and now I have no option to get the Palm Pre.
