The Virgin Mobile brand simply screams a good time and by taking a look at the pics from Virgin Fest you know they know how to throw a party. Now that some of the Canadian banks have declared the recession as “over” the “Screw You Recession” site is almost null and void… so Virgin has come back to the table with the “Be Fearless” launch. Earlier we earlier a re-design of their website homepage and they have even launched a couple text friendly Samsung Link devices. Hopefully they will release the BlackBerry Storm soon too… this is rumoured to happen before the end of the year.
Virgin’s “Be Fearless” advertising campaign has teamed up with StudentawardsInc. to create the “Virgin Mobile’s Be Fearless Scholarship Award Program”. This is the best back-to-school promo we’ve seen yet. Other carriers and manufactures are giving away backpacks, $250 worth of textbook, cellphone discounts… Virgin is topping them all off by offering up 2 cash scholarship awards worth $1,000.
Sounds like there is no catch either. To qualify for the scholarship you have to sign-up for Studentawards and check your e-mail for the link, then confirm. However, in order to enter this contest you must be 17 years or older and a resident of Québec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Alberta, British Columbia or Newfoundland.
