Bell Palm Pre Commercial vs. first Palm Commerical

So Bell has put a TV commercial together that promotes the upcoming Palm Pre with all its touch features and how easy it is to switch between applications. The branding is similar to other Bell commercials we’ve seen over the past few months, and also is very similar feeling to another popular touchscreen.

A real question is to compare this first commercial to Palm’s first commercial in United States that stars Canadian actress Tamara Hope. Which one do you like better?

In addition, another video has surfaced called “Meet My new Palm Pre” that shows “Bradley” touring around Toronto showing the Pre to unassuming Canadians.

    1. The Bell one gives a better demonstration of the capabilities of the phone.

    2. The Bell commercial isn’t great, but it delivers the message and gives you an idea of what the phone is all about.

The American commercial is horrendous right now, it wouldn’t be so bad if Palm re-established a name for itself and the Palm Pre was a well regarded name.

    3. They are both horrendous. At least Palm showed an ounce of creativity in their commercials, however bad they are. Bell blatantly ripped off Apple!

    4. A lot of people’s comments on Youtube are calling Bell’s ad a bad imitation of the iPhone’s ads. But if they were Canadian, they’d know that Bell makes all their newer ads this way. And just because the Pre showed it’s features it has to be a copy of the iPhone? They should see their ad before they complain about ours.

    6. I seen tha bell ad yesterday … my first thoughts were bell spent less then $50 to make this…… really Low budget & shamfull , Does show some use of tha phone, yes that is good (for ppl who don’t watch any web videos) US commercials put more money into it.. but bells Should have been MUCH better! (alltho I don’t expect much from bell) not like iphone ad’s as a monkey can use one WOW I CAN SLIDE MY FINGER FROM SIDE TO SIDE – iphone SUCKS! apps are tha only this good bout tha phone and that ally has little to do with apple ! can’t compare this to iphone ad’s… and US commercials really make no sence….. but at least they can invest some money (unlike bell)

    7. I think the bell commercial is well done and is not a copy of anything. It shows off the features of a touch screen nicely and brings attention to the phone by showing cool features because not everyone goes online and researches phones and thats who commercials are for, and it does not matter how much money is put into a commercial (criminalogic) as long as they get the point across

    8. The Bell is the best. It gets the point across. The 2nd one makes me feel awkward and I also feel like the woman in it is an arrogant bitch.
