Globalive Wireless has brought on anther partner to help them launch their network. They have selected SmartTrust to supply a common and SIM independent platform for managing next-generation handsets, a customized roaming product, and a turnkey solution for launching value-added services.
Globalive will have two services from SmartTrust: First is SmartAct Over-the-Air (OTA) SIM management software. This will ensure that devices operating on its Globalive’s network will be recognized, correctly configured and optimized to the full extent of each device’s specific potential and capability. Second is SmartàLaCarte, “a turnkey solution for launching value-added services to its customer base through a standard (U)SIM regardless of handset model. Mobile operators, for instance, can achieve up to a five-fold increase in usage of their existing services, and bring new services to market faster with easy and quick availability through handset menus.”
