Apple: Q3 iPhone sales hit 5.2 million

iphoen-3GSApple has reported their Q3 2009 results and have posted revenues of $8.34 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.23 billion. Not too shabby! They have also reported iPhones sales for this quarter reached 5.2 million (626% increases from last Q3 2008). Apple CEO Steve Jobs said “We’re making our most innovative products ever and our customers are responding. We’re thrilled to have sold over 5.2 million iPhones during the quarter and users have downloaded more than 1.5 billion applications from our App Store in its first year.”

No numbers from Rogers/Fido yet, but we are hearing about 30,000 units sold.
