Has anyone else had issues with this phone powering off when you slide the keyboard closed? I am on my second unit which I picked up yesterday. Before I even left the Telus store I realized the new unit did the exact same thing. I slid the keyboard open, then closed and it powered off. I have to push the power button to get it to come back on. Very frustrating. I showed the Telus clerk who was stunned too. So I have ordered a third unit…

Anyone who thinks a pictures quality is based on mega-pixels is ignorant, but going from your language on a public forum I guess that par for you. I’ll take a nice lens and flash over a high mega-pixel camera any day. The sensors are just too small to use high pixel counts as you’ll just get huge noise ratios.

considering 5.0 mega pixel is minimum to get a decent picture this s**t is still junk in my opinion as far as digi cam and video cam go.. i****s.. stop f*****g around with your crap megapixel s**t, and bring out the 8mega pixel phones already! assholes.

I think the TP2 might come out some time today because the Telus site said they're making some "improvements." That could either mean they're releasing the TP2, or they're just simply improving the site.

I talked to a Telus rep (you know all those stores that say they're Telus in BC aren't Telus at all… they're outsourced partners.)

He has the telus rep coming into his store next week – they are setting up shop downstairs in the Terasung building off Burard and showing the phone off. He believes they'll have units when they come in or have them shipped shortly before.

They are locking it to cut the bands for NA… we'll just need to unlock that – should be a program online very shortly for that…
