UK GSM Carrier O2 getting Palm Pre… eventually Rogers bound?

palmpreimageThe Gaurdian is reporting that UK wireless carrier o2 will announce that they’ll get the rights to carry the Palm Pre… pretty big news for them as they already have exclusivity to the Apple iPhone. With this said, o2 operates on a GSM network which means that Pre, currently only available on a CDMA, will eventually make it’s way over to this side of the world.

Just specualtion for now… but it’s a good bet that Rogers will pick this sought after device up – if not already in talks with Palm. Bell is slated to launch the Pre before the end of the year.
