Councillor says “BlackBerry… has changed my life”

The small town in BC called Comox Valley is getting a little attention today. Town councillors have adopted a $100 per month salary increase for technology such as cellphones and computers. Some are for the increase and some are not.

Counsillor Marcia Turner said “I think it’s important our citizens know that we’re trying to do the same thing they’re being forced to do and that’s to extend their dollar further”. However, Councillor Tom Grant said “If we vote for this it’s not going to change the budget one iota because it’s such a small amount. I don’t need the $100 but with my own money I went out and bought a Blackberry two weeks ago and it has changed my life”

We’re with you Tom!
