In my opinion the difference in speed is minor even unnoticeable. With WIFI available at home, office and in most places I work and travel to I am mostly on WIFI and it’s even faster than 3G. Believe me the HTC HD makes up for the lack of no 3G reception, the phone is simply amazing! No my HTC HD dose not receive 3G only Edge or 2G in North America. Rogers' / Fido's HSDPA is on 850 MHz. The online specs for the HTC HD say "900/2100 MHz" for HSDPA. This is the reason I have not tried to get a G1 from the US ... the way I understand it, the best data connection you will get is Edge. Are you going to be able to get 3G on this??
