Swine flu to impact Rogers Wireless revenues?

r_bruceRogers reported Q1 results earlier today, but forecasting future revenue has Rob Bruce, President of Rogers Wireless, thinking back a few years to SARS. How come? Well it seems like with the current swine flu disease going around he believes this will effect international travel and eventually wireless revenues.

“As travel bans happened around SARS we saw some impact on roaming, it was definitely a noticeable impact. To the extent that we see the swine flu accelerate I think we could see some softening in roaming revenues.”

    1. boo hoo, Rogers is going to lose out on overpriced roaming charges because people got sick.
