		<description>Sasktel has been working hard to push people out of land lines and into cell lines.  In 2009, Sasktel land line has no pre-authorized payment option requiring residential customers to visit a Sasktel store or mail in a check once a month.  Sasktel celluar will deduct from your bank account.  As a result, many people ditch their land lines and go cellular for convenience. 
 
Also, Sasktel has a monopoly in SK.  Rogers has a few towers, but lousy reception.  SaskTel covers most of the province.  Telus is available, but uses the Sasktel network, and apparently the agreements between the two companies means Telus subscribers in SK are limited.  In short, Sasktel is the only option in SK. 
 
Considering these factors, it is no wonder their cell revenue is up.  Although considering 1MB of data transfer costs $15 a month, Saskatchewan is still stuck in the dark ages of communications. </description>
