Samsung launches “Recycling Direct” in Canada

samsunggreenEarth Day is upon and Samsung Electronics Canada has launched a new program called “Samsung Recycling Direct”, this will officially start on April 22nd.

Basically if you have any electronics such as including mobile phones, televisions, cameras, VCRs, computers and monitors that are Samsung (or other brands) you can go to 15 fixed locations and drop them off at no charge. The locations are: Barrie, Brampton, Calgary, Dartmouth, Elmsdale, Markham, Moncton, Montreal, Newmarket, North Bay, Owen Sound, Pickering, Surrey, Toronto, Winnipeg.

Benjamin Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Canada said “We understand that consumers are experiencing a lot of confusion about what to do with their unused or old electronics. Today is about educating Canadians that Samsung considers the environment at every stage of a product’s lifecycle – from how it’s manufactured to the way it’s experienced in the home and finally, how it’s managed when it’s time to upgrade. We’re thrilled to be able to offer consumers an easier way to lead a greener lifestyle.”
